Day 7 - Our last day

Our last day on vacation. It was only 63 degrees but I finally got to sit on the beach without kids with Missy during naptime. We did not want to go home and really didn't want to get back in the car to drive there. Overall, we all had fun. The kids loved playing with their cousins everyday. I love being at the beach.

Day 6 - The boys go fishing

All the boys, except the babies, went deep sea fishing this day. It was very windy and rained a little bit. They had to come in early because the waves were getting to dangerous, the captain actually told them that if it gets bad enough they will beach the boat. Scary!! They only caught a few small fish but they got to see dolphins and jelly fish.

Day 5 - Rainy Day

 

It was raining all day this day so we drove an hour to Manteo, NC on Roanoke Island to go to North Carolina Aquarium.

Then we went to dinner at Dirty Dicks, it was kid appropriate ;)

Finally stopped raining when we got home so the kids got to swim for awhile. Gabby's 1st time swimming with water wings, she did really well with it. No more tube for her.

Day 4 in the OBX

Loved sleeping in a King size bed but had a lot of company

Day 3 of vacation

We loved going to the beach right in front of the house we stayed at, Loggerhead. We had to watch the kids close because the waves had a strong pull back out. The older kids and Craig went boggy boarding, The water was really cold and you got use to it after a while, it was hot out.

This is the pier right by our house, was damaged by Hurricane Isabel in 2003.
